| Lakeland Open 2005 |
 |
Eric & Ryan made the trip up the M6 for the Lakeland Open in Kendal last Month.
Traditionally this competition has been one of the hardest around and not one for lower grades to enter. The competition is held over 2 days at Kendal Leisure Centre and we would hope to take quite a few players up in the next couple of years.
With a bit of a struggle Eric managed to get his weight down and get into the under 26kg group of 8/9 year olds. As with recent comps Eric seemed in a bit of a rush with his first fight again winning it in 4 seconds. Eric continued to fight well winning his remaining 3 fights with some good groundwork taking the Gold Medal.
Ryan was in the Under 34kg group for 10/11 year olds winning 1 out of his 3 fights. Ryan lost out on a medal this time but fought well against very tough opposition.
