Glossop took 5 representatives to the North Wales Junior Open Championships on the 24th July and managed to return with a gold and two bronze medals.
Judy Browne only had one other competitor in her weight group, but still despatched her with a winning throw which earned her the gold medal,
Abi Walker had two opponents in her group who were both older and higher grades, and, although putting up spirited fights, she lost to both and picked up the bronze, as did Ryan Phillips.
Ryan was in a large group in the under 34kg. He won his first three fights in style, then he came up against the eventual gold medallist, a junior black belt, and unfortunately lost out, but was still pleased with his medal.
Tom and Bob Browne had tough groups, each winning one fight out of four, but unfortunately not getting a medal.
