Nottingham Area Open 9th Oct 2005
|
 |
Dukeries Leisure Centre, Nottingham was the venue for the Notts area BJC open competition. Eric was our only entrant but this should be a competition that will be on our event list next year. A superb venue and atmosphere made this a great competition. Eric found himself in the under 30kg group for this competition. There were evelen fighters in his group but there were far too many weight miss-matches to make this a fair group. There was one poor lad who weighed 25kg who had to fight two monsters weighing 30kg. Eric won 3 of his four fights missing out on a place in the final by the smallest margin. The highlight for me had to be 2 massive Uchi-Mata’s in his first and last fight. Eric was rather disappointed with the bronze but will have to learn that he won’t win every competition he enters.
